Resimac Tarmac Restorer FAQs

What is Resiblock Resimac Tarmac Restorer?

Resiblock Resimac is a one-coat, environmentally friendly tarmacadam restorer that dramatically enhances the appearance of both old and new asphalt or tarmac surfaces. It restores a rich, black finish and includes an anti-fungal agent to help prevent moss, algae, and tyre marking.

Which surfaces can Resimac be applied to and what are its benefits?

Resimac is suitable for tarmacadam and asphalt. It revitalises colour, protects against petrol, diesel, grease, water, UV fading, and organic growth, significantly improving aesthetics durability.

How is Resimac applied and what coverage does it provide?

It is applied in a single coat using a roller or brush, covering approximately 3–6 m² per litre depending on surface texture and porosity. While one coat is usually sufficient, a second coat may be recommended on worn or highly porous surfaces to ensure full restoration.

What are the recommended conditions and drying times for application?

Apply when the surface is clean and completely dry, and the ambient temperature is above 8 °C with no rain expected. At 20 °C, the coating becomes touch-dry in about 30 minutes, allows further coats after 2–3 hours, and cures fully overnight. Light foot traffic is safe after 3 hours; Vehicular access should be avoided for 24 hours

How long does Resimac last and what is its shelf life?

The restored finish offers long-lasting protection and aesthetic rejuvenation, lasting up to five years; unopened containers have a shelf life of up to 18 months when stored indoors. It offers enduring colour enhancement and resistance to wear; periodic maintenance may include cleaning and addressing wear in high-traffic zones to preserve the refreshed appearance.
