Plot 18, Greenwich Peninsula

The Site:

It started with a dome, but in the near 30-years since the now 02 Arena was opened, Greenwich Peninsula has become face of an emerging “new London”, designed to improve quality of life of city dwellers.

Plot 18 of Greenwich Peninsula sees the construction of 476 new homes in two slender bronze framed towers, marking the end of West Parkside and Central Park.

The Challenge:

As part of construction, and with Plot 18 being split across two parcels of lands, over 2,500m² of landscaped public realm was delivered, including a newly constructed pedestrianised route which separated the two towers.

Key to both the client, and the Contractor O’Keefe Construction, was assurance that paving was protected against the high volumes of footfall traffic that it would be subjected to.

The Solution:

The aforementioned 02 Arena helped showcase that Resiblock were the sealing solution of choice for Plot 18 at Greenwich Peninsula. With Resiblock having successfully sealed over 12,000sqm at the 02 Arena back in 2007 (which has not required resealing since), Frank Reynolds Architects felt more than confident in specifying Resiblock for use at Greenwich Peninsula.
